Tate Modern, Mark Rothko

Visiting the Mark Rothko room in the Tate modern was extremely interesting to me as Rothko has a strong impact on my work. Sitting in front of his paintings i feel my vision start to go and feel that I’m getting immersed into to the painting and feel like I’m going to another dimension. The room is dark so it sets an atmosphere and makes the experience more immersive because you have to concentrate more to look with in the paintings. Seeing Rothkos work made me think more critically about my own ideas about my work and set a strong idea about where i want to take it.
